Possible Utopia?

Utopia, the very mention of the word takes us to a place of perfect order, where everything goes according to plan. It takes us to a place where people can co-exist together, and when there is no more crime, no more hatred.

However, a true utopia can never exist, until the day we, as humans, have conquered death. For when there is death, there will be suffering, there will be grief, ideals not fitting into a utopian society. Because in a utopia, there will no longer be a reason to feel depressed. For every need is met, not only physical needs, but emotional, pschological, economical, cultural and social needs will all be met. And as long as death is present we will never have solace.

Some people believe that utopias already exist. They believe them to be places such as, the legendary Shangri-La. Christopher Columbus thought that the New World was a utopia.

But I say that no such utopias exist now. But as we continue to climb the ladder of technological advancement, we will create one eventually.

The word utopia is actually a Greek word which means "good place".
Imagine, a place without poverty, famine, political strife, wars, sickness, discrimination, and death.
I would certainly live in a place such as that. In the mean time, we can only await that day. Which will be coming. The Future is now.
