Introducing NAO

NAO is the name of a medium sized humanoid robot that is being designed by Aldebaran Robotics, a French company with headquarters in Paris. NAO is an extremely sleek looking robot that, as fas as I know, comes in 2 colours. Red and Blue. Which reminds me a little of the Machinima "Red vs. Blue" using Halo. But games aside NAO is not only sleek, but cute as well. Currently it is available to academic institutions for research purposes, but will be made available for the general public in late 2009 or late 2010. This gives me ample time to save up money and buy a robotic pet for myself! I intend to get one as soon as it is made available. Here's a video clip of NAO in action, along with some pictures.
